I thought I had already introduced myself, but I checked my three posts and none were an intro. So, here goes.. I grew up into Hot Wheels and scale model kits in the mid- to late-60's and early 70's. Also enjoyed drawing a lot - especially muscle cars with bug-eyed monsters in them - and reading science fiction. I didn't find out until much later (like in my 40's, that the cars with monsters I used to draw were in the style of "Big Daddy" Ed Roth, among others. The bubble top Beatnik Bandit happened to also be my favorite Hot Wheel. (I now have a 1:18 scale version of it, and have seen the real one at the Reno, Nevada car museum.) Besides bubble tops, I also love low slung '27 T coupes and T-buckets, and C-cabs strike my fancy as well for some reason. I have no real experience building a car (I'm a Software Systems Analyst by training) but I have read a lot, and now finally have shop space where I can have all my car stuff in one place, and enough room to create (or break) something. I have always enjoyed being creative, so I look forward to seeing what I gravitate towards.
