How are yaw'll doing? I actually stumbled upon this web site in my geneology search. My Uncle, Robert Gilman, was a 3 time AHRA Champ back in the 60's. I don't know the name of the car he raced. He was killed at the Como Drag Strip in Pickton, Texas, on June 10, 1967. He was racing a Corvette-powered MG dragster. I'm not finding any AHRA history listing winners and/or champs on the web to even find out which 3 races he won. If anyone out there has any further information about my Uncle Robert, it would be greatly appreciated, as I would like to include it in our family tree. My father was a drag racer in the 60's, my husband was a drag racer prior to joining the Air Force and my youngest son races at Grayson Motor Speedway in Bells, Texas and out at the Greenville, Texas track. Guess racing is in the family genes. Thank You, Linda Halliburton
Welcome Linda, there are a few former AHRA racers on here. Just ask your questions on the main board and I'm sure you will get some help. Good luck on the family tree.
