Hello all. This looks like a good place to get good ideas and information. I've been a hot rodder for most of my 56 years. Over the years I've had a 67 Mustang, 68 Cougar, 65 Bonneville, 82 Monaco, 63 Bel Air, 55 Plymouth, and a bunch of not so interesting stuff. I was the electrical guy in my group, the guy everyone goes to to hook up that new 8 track or find an electric gremlin, blinkers that don't blink, starters that don't start, all that. For my first big adventure my dad and I rebuilt the 292 on my brother's 57 Ford when I was a junior in High School. Then rebuilding the Cruise-O-Matic in my 59 Galaxie. No autoshop cl***es, just a book, a rebuild kit, and some advice from the guy at the local trans shop. I recently bought a cheapie wire feed welder from Horrible Freight and I'm teaching myself to use it. My current project is a 69 Firebird. It was a daily driver, survivor, fun machine for 10 years or so til the original 350 croaked. It's been parked for quite a while but I'm tearing it down for restoration and paint. I have a good 400 for it now. It originally had a TH400 but I've got a Super T10. ****ter shield, pedal and linkage, and flywheel for the conversion. Now all i need is some get-around-to-it. I run my own heating and cooling company so that takes a lot of time. Well, that's it, looking forward to reading more in here. Matt Mahoney Vancouver, WA
