Hello from Vermont

  1. Wow, what a relief! After years of lurkin', I'm taking the plunge. So whats in the garage now... 31' coupe body that was a crudely channeled hot rod at sometime long ago. It's sittin' on a deuce frame that had an A roadster on it... (not that long ago) It's set up for a sbc, mustang box and an 8", hung (no pun intended) from coilovers.... yup, coilovers. (there may/may not be two pix here after I submit this?). I also have a 64' Impala SS that I started a frame off on about 10+ yrs. ago. Frame is done, painted, lines run, all new front end, body back on and push off to the side!?! Was a 327/4 spd car, it's now set up for a 409. Oh and I have the 65' wagon the 09 came from... The only thing I own thats even close to screamin' down the road is a 48' Panhead, 70's Paucho frame 12" wideglide, 3" open primary blah blah blah...60's - 70's style chopper.(I know wrong board)
I... am no great wrench or fabricator, I do however have a life long habit of taking things apart and every now and then back together. Before reality set in I ran around in a 63' Nova 327/4 spd w/ 513's..... I was 15-18 and drove and raced that thing in NYC. (sexndrugsnrocknroll)(speed kills, but I love it) words I lived and almost didn't live by....
I'm a 46 yr. old trucker that acts like I'm 23 and sometimes feels like I'm 63... usually after actin' 23 or work! My 12 yr. old son is determined to get me to draw(pun?) upon my art school edu. which has been dorment longer then my impala... He's gainin', so who knows, look out Koop. Ha
Hope that weren't too much info, but lookin' at some intro's lately I thought actually saying something might be right. I'm here to learn, find motivation, entertain(myself at very least) and maybe meet a few folks up this way and elsewhere.

    Thanx, later, bye Howard

Welcome. I've come to understand that (at least before you) I was the only VT HAMBer. We do, however, have the Rolling Bones just west of us and CruZer and his buddies just south of us and a bunch of guys in NH/eastern MA. Hope to see you around sometime, and hope to see those rods on the road soon.
