Hello from WA

My Father has given to me his old work truck he has had since I was a kid, I'm 38 now and want to drive my kid around in it too. Its a 1956 GMC that had a V8 from the factory. I believe it was a pontiac motor back then? Perhaps someone knows about that. Sadly that motor blew up and had a couple SBC's over the years and now has a big block caddy motor in it. My Dad never had a lot of money but was proud of the truck. I am currently going through the motor brakes and electrical. She looks rough but I'm excited to drive it anyway. Cant make the pic work but oh well, Thanks for listening

Perhaps I should of been more clear My Dad gave me the truck he has not p***ed away or anything like that. I live on Whidbey Island WA. I think he will be excited to drive it the next time he comes up to visit. Thanks for the warm welcome.
