I have been reading a lot on here and there sure is a lot of great information on here. I would like to thank all those people out there that know a lot about hot rods.Last year I bought a 1947 Mercury pickup with a running flathead and drove it onto the trailer and off the trailer.!! The flathead has one dead cylinder as no compression. Has anyone put a 302 ford motor in one of these pickups?? Or should a guy just leave the flathead in it? It has a 3 speed and open driveline, any suggestions are very welcome. Thank,s Again Tom

welcome aboard. As far as keeping the flathead, I would say that depends on what you want/expect from the truck.
