My name is Denny Huffman and I never knew that H.A.M.B. exsisted until just to other day...Very Sweet Site...H.A.M.B. brings back such GREAT memories of my growing up with Dad's shop, "THE GARAGE"... Along with finding this site, I had also found with help from a co-worker, my Dad's '57 Corvette, that I was the last to see the tail light disappear into the dark of the night back in 1969...What a sad, sad night that that was, one of the worst days in my entire life, beleive it or not it really was...You would need to know more about my Dad and "THE GARAGE"...I'm certain that there are alot of me's on this site that had a GREAT up bringing and Life have the chance to be around and envolved with a Garage & Speed Shop back in the 50's & 60's...Man, there where some Bad *** ANIMALS that came out of THE GARAGE in Catonsville, Md...The one that I remember the most is "THE 57"... At any rate, I'm still going to continue my search for "THE 57" and I'm getting closer everyday and I'm going to keep telling the stories of my memories of the "THE GARAGE & THE 57"...It really was very cool to be part of making of "THE MOST WINNINGNESS 1957 CORVETTE IN RACING HISTORY" For the past week and a half, I have been reading and speaking to people about the "The Most Winningness '57 Corvette In Racing History"... I'm trying to find the location of "THE 57" and speak to the today's owner... I have a GREAT deal more information about "THE 57", because I was there when it was making racing history...My Dad "Bill (Reds) Huffman" was the "MAN" behind giving Bob, Dad's driver, a WINNING Corvette...Not to take anything from Bob...Bob was my idiol...He was a race car driver...Dad on the other hand was my Dad...I did along with my brother (Ken) what Dad said and that was the end of that...If you didn't, well, I'll just leave that alone for now... If it were not for what Dad, Ken & I did to "THE 57", Bob would never have set the NEW track record at Marlboro Road Course and as of today, it has and never will be broken...It's a story all in itself and only cost about $0.10... Pretty cool what Dad could do with a dime... At any rate, I would really appreciate ANY information reguarding the where about of "THE 57" and the new owner..."We need to talk" I'm also working on and trying to get "THE 57" back...I can only wish...The owner from what I'm able to gather has set the price at $975,000.00 and I'm getting ready to walk down to the bank and ask if I can have a small loan to buy a car that from the show room floor, went for around $5,500.00... I've even thought about selling some of my organs, a kidney, lung, eye...or if I could ask the people of the USA for (1) dollar each...Never know, it might work...weirder things have happened... I means that much to me for MY DAD...If I were able to get it back in the family, it would never leave AGAIN, my word... We have contiued to keep "THE 57" alive and still WINNING...My son Logan has been racing karts, for 13 years under Dad # "57"...and we are still WINNING races & Championships...
