Hey everyone, just introducing myself here. I've been reading this board for quite a while - have found a lot of helpful advice and thought I'd start giving back.

I'm 31 and have been working on cars on and off for the last nine years. One of my prouder moments was driving around with my wife on our wedding day in my $1400 '48 Buick Roadmaster.

In 2000 I set my mind towards recreating the Barris "Kopper Kart". I spent years collecting parts and spent every moment I could spare working on it... but have (finally) admitted to myself that I can't make it happen (amongst business ventures and a new son). I'd be happy to share my experiences - and my version of what happened to the original - if anyone is interested...

A few months ago I finally called it quits with the 'Kart' and found an opportunity with my wife's cousin's car - a '54 Chevy 210. I've posted a pic of my new pride and joy here.

I'm looking forward to chatting with many of you in the future. Keep cruisin'!
