I'm new here (obviously) I've been surfin around and like what I see. I work at a restoration shop in CT doing mostly sheet metal and fab work. We mostly do muscle cars but we have a 56 Metropolitan thats awaiting a small block ford and a 38 plymouth sedan thats getting some tasteful (and admittedly some not so tasteful) mods. My boss and I have different ideas on what makes for a good hot rod, like the Mercedes lights on the plymouth (shakes head), and the potential pro streeting of the Nash. But while he writes my paychecks I'm at his mercy, and I don't like to argue when he buys me such nice welders and fabrication equipment. The closest thing I own to anything that would be deemed acceptable here is my 65 pickup, recently crashed, which has a 352 and will be rebuilt to mostly stock, when I get the frame straightened. I figure a little lowering, some body colored steelies with hubcaps, headers and maybe an intake and a fancy carb setup will the the extent of the mods on my turqoise beauty. I do yearn for a real hot rod something awful. Every time I see one on this forum or in the mags or at car shows my little heart goes bonkers. Soon enough.
Nice to have you here. Im in Boston . Got any pics of what you are working on -either your own or from the shop you work at?
Nice to here from a fabricator Kinglearget any ideas on chassis swap a 72chevelle chassis & 52 chev coup
