I have some old cars and trucks. currently working on a 1957 chevy .. I have two fenders with extremely large oil canning problems.. its like the metal has moved to the top or bottom of the fenders. i thought replace with some made in f.. in china.. but i really hate to .. if you have links for reads? or can direct me somewhere would be great help. i have read alot about oil canning but it seems to be small areas not like what im faced with... thanks again .. Hank Williams Jr for president.. Amen god bless

oil canning is when the sheet metal can pop in and out like the side of an oil can due to the metal being overstretched... The best way to fix this issue is to shrink the metal (i.e. a torch to heat the metal, thus shrinking it.) pictures would help a great deal.
