I want to keep the body stock, upgrade the mechanicals and amenities and install a newer motor and drive train with decent fuel economy and capacity to tow maybe up to 5000#. I am an old fart who has been fooling around with cars for about 50 years or so. I am currently looking for a Ford 9" with 410 gears and posi. It needs to be about 61" from wheel mounting face to face. It it would bolt up to leaf springs measuring about 41" center to center that would be sweet too. I am also looking for good hood hinges, window regulators and guages. Cheers!
