Hello from Regina, Sask, Canada. Hoping to get my project 51 Chev 4 door Fleetline Deluxe Project done this year to drive finally. Got the motor almost done, 350 4bolt from a pre-85 loomis van donated to me for putting the trans in someones elses van. At the moment it has a .30 over bore with forged pistons 58cc chevy aluminum heads(found out hard way here nothing is as it ever seems 600 for heads and still had to rebuild them @600 might as well bought new.....lesson learned here.) Cast ground crank and rods, streetfire Hei Distributor, just need something to top it up if you want to p*** some ideas I will read about them lookin at a dual quad setup if I can't pull a supercharger out of my wallet....also realize this distributor will not work with a supercharger but i'll swap it if it comes to that.
The car itself I have a versailles 9 inch rear end with diskbrakes waitin to be shortened, a aluminum powerglide trans i'm rebuilding next for it. The car was orig auto iron powerglide so it seemed suited to put one back in and keep the nice crome trunk decals hehe. Not sure of a stall speed yet any help there would be appreciated.
I'm reading about the s-10 frame swaps this is my battle for this project to do the IFS swap and spend the dough slowly or just get a s-10 frame, also in my travels i found a chevy short box from to use i read somewhere it will work as well but everytime i put a car in my driveway not registered the neighbours kindly complain to the city so its hard to store stuff like that to use hahaha.
I want the car safe and reliable as well. Ty for your time in reading this intro.
