I’m no expert, but pretty sure 32’s didn’t originally have VIN tags and only had numbers stamped in the frame. Looks like some aftermarket tag to me. Lots of experts here to let you know.

Being a fiberglass car, guessing it was just assigned a VIN somehow. I have no idea how that process works in Florida.

I was expecting a special construction tag if it's a "kit car". I can't find any info on it online other than it was in a eBay auction a few yrs back and I can't pull up any of that info as it's too old. Thanks for the reply.

Welcome to the HAMB from East Tennessee. That number has been assigned to that vehicle by a state DMV.

Thank you for the reply, just off it says FoMoCo on the tag but this is new to me. I had a special construction chopper yrs ago. So the vin struck me as odd.

  11. The windscreen don't fit on the cowl top. You can stick your hand under it.

You should be asking AZ what they need to get it into your hands as far as paper work.

Good eye, did not notice that. Also not a deal breaker for me. I live in AZ, it rarely rains. I don't care if there is no top.

I have a 06 BMW Z4 as a daily. This would just be for fun. Will need some big wheels and meat for the back and some gasser spokes up front...

Welcome to the Hamb...We are a Traditional Hotrod site...the Hotrod your looking at isn't really in that realm albeit tires and rims can do wonders for the personality almost instantly and you mentioned ditching the Hot Wheels. Perhaps you can run that vin from your end and get a yay or nay...their website came up empty but that may be because everything's online these days.

They do exist...AND they are right near a DMV...see link below...

    https://www.google.com/maps/contrib/111496885981147817939/photos/@28.2230371,-82.3792477,18z/data=!4m3!8m2!3m1!1e1?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDExNS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw==

We do have a new Forum recently added though and you may fit within those parameters...Have you checked out our classified here...you may find something closer to home and even a better deal...but always be vigilant...

We can pick any car to death , with faults . If you’re happy , have fun with it . It has an assigned title and VIN . Need to know it’s not OEM, numbers or a true 32 Ford. I have friends that buy titles attach numbers to a tag . They in turn sell it as true car , not a repop. This is just wrong !

    Best answer imo.

That is not a State Assigned number because no State would ever use a tag like that.

Also, if it was a reproduced car from a known factory, then it would have a serial number on a tag that shows the company name that builds them, right on the same tag.

That tag is trying to appear that the car is a genuine Ford, perhaps to avoid safety requirements of a modern built car, or taxation or registration benefits in some States, of a real antique car.

Look at the key tag..it says...I think...23 Ford. Yeah that's close. Some asshat sales department.

Just because it has a Florida title, doesn't guarantee that another State that does do Vin inspections, will accept that obviously bogus tag. Maybe your State won't look at it, but run away , it's not worth the risk of buying a car with a bogus tag. It is bogus, but go ahead if you don't believe it. Picking out wheels already, geezus.

Run away from that car, why risk the possibility of getting stuck with a car that can't be registered in your State, or resold by you without being able to give a guarantee that it could be registered in the next buyers own State . Or if you had to sue them if you find that you cannot register it .

I am good w a glass body and a "kit car" and this is cheeper than building one. I don't like the white paint but I also do Santa for kids in foster care so it will be a good Santas sleigh.

Sold my 2010 Challenger SRT8 Hurst Series 1 No 45 yesterday to Carvana so I can pull this off. I have a bucket list of cars I want, 37 Chevy gasser, 30's Topolino gasser, 55 Chevy gasser. A Christine Fury....but this is priced right and have money left over for bills and the IRS.

I have lurked here many times. Figured even if it does not fit in exactly people could at least steer me in the right direction.

And yeah the wheels on it are lame...

That's all good, I believe you've hung around here a bit...Take Brigs and F&Js advice not nessessarily to run but to do more research with your state and the vin on the title. They are just looking out for you.

You beat me to the lurking bit...:D

This is the info I was hoping someone would reply with.

I have always wanted those wheels lol...I am 53 and been wanting something like this but I also don't want a nightmare. And now it makes sense. The tag is for a legit 32 Ford and it is 32FRD*****

And the AZ MVD may have a problem with it and have me get an inspection with AZ DPS. And I am sure once I have it with all the exclusions in the sales contract that it will be mine too bad so sad...

The contract is done, they are just waiting for the $5k. But now I know I need to slow this down and make sure I can get the title transferred.

The car would need a new correct special construction vin assigned to it.

I have been through this when I had to replace the cowl in a 2nd Gen firebird. You mess w that VIN and the Troopers that do inspections will not be happy.

Again this is why I posted before they got money out of me. And the answers I was looking for...

Thank you so much for replying. I don't have issues w the car as long as I can make it legal. Might be why it's cheap lol...

I know exactly what they are saying and is what I was looking for as I was confused. I thought that was a legit Ford VIN with nothing original Ford attached to it.

Again I appreciate the replies and help!!!

Can you find a car closer to you that you and a car full of friends can go look at? I cannot see anything special about this vehicle. To me its just a dealer flip. Just my opinion.

It's called a 32 but nothing on it is OEM and as mentioned that tag is just a mega reproduced tag...32 had Numbers stamped in the frame...they had additional firewall tags but not for VIN

The frame looks like Model A but its probably just tubing...
