  1. Not much more to investigate. Very smart people on here have given you the information why you should run, keep your money and keep looking. The car may sound cheap, but hitting something and tearing out the oil pan will most probably destroy the engine. That will add to the initial cost. Find something else, and come back and get good answers.

Look at the 19th photo. That frame is a pitted piece of crap that was blasted and painted. You can see how bad it is pitted. If the frame horns are that pitted imagine how bad the rest of it is pitted. From the picture Mark posted the oil pan has about 3" of ground clearance. One flat tire and you are riding on the oil pan. That car would never pass a safety inspection. Let it go and let some other sucker buy it.

Ok, more red flags, I have no idea when this was made but having to replace the frame takes this out of the picture. The guy that bought this did not do his research. He may have bought it off eBay 4 yrs ago and now wishes he had not....

This why I posted to make sure I was not missing something.

Thank you to all that replied, taking time out of your day to do this. It is very much appreciated.

I did not notice that either. It's a FL car, and might have been near the ocean, I ran the vin on bumper and the NHSTA and could not find where it has lived, when it was built or anything. It just pops up in the last few years.....

It has a owner and title and owner still owes money to the bank he financed with. I know that was going to be part of the deal they had to deal with the lien before it could leave Streetside...but bumper does not even show owner history. Does not show anything and I just bought the Z4 and a used Soul for my wife and all their info was on bumper...

I never said one bad word about the car, or how it's built.

However, I know the serial number is bogus, the tag is bogus too. Nobody on here should ever overlook bad ID numbers and go along with encouraging the purchase. Even worse yet, it's a third party sale. Yea, sign me up...
    Not!

Like you said, "it's cheap".... but then it also says "offers". Wow, how cheap will the owner get down to. Hmmm, I wonder if other people have called them out on the shady numbers.

One last thing is that some prewar rods are selling below what they once had. Some sellers are motivated more than before. Smart money waits and scores a good car at a good price.

doesn't matter that it does. It's bogus numbers that might get caught in another State or Province. The numbers are fake, and gets really illegal if the title states it's a 1932 Ford. That's fraud. You'd spend far more than the purchase price trying to fight it in court if things went bad at DMV

Come on man .. who said that... Anyways, this is the most f,ed up deal I've seen on here. Third party sale, bogus numbers on a bogus ID Tag , AND a bank lien that needs to be paid off before it leaves this flea bag dealer. Good grief.

  12. RUN!!! That VIN tag (Ford never used tags, the number was stamped into the frame) looks like it came from EBAY. If it was from the state it probably wouldn't have "Ford" preprinted on it since the same tag would be used for all makes. The tag has the wrong "patina". The VIN tag would have the name of the state preprinted on it, etc. Attached is a California VIN tag for comparison (numbers blanked out), I assume Florida would be similar.

I hear Lurch from the Adam’s family groaning and shaking his head. Ugh. A lien to boot?? I don’t think anyone on here wants to see you purchase a car you may never be able to drive. It’s imperative that you do some extensive homework on this!

    Again appreciate the reply,

Like I said I was looking to buy this car. I have no money in it yet.

With the receipts I can probably track the owner down and see what he can do. Taking enough off to fix things and verify w AZ DPS that it can be titled. I am not in a hurry. Got the Challenger sold.

Nothing sells in Jan and all the money now seems to be on muscle cars. The pre war stuff seems to be only popular with old farts like me with beards. If I offended any youngsters on here it was not meant to offend, just means you have good taste in cars.

And now this car is all over the Internet. I could not find anything anywhere on this car other than a eBay listing that was relisted about 40 times. But no details.

You know there is a Streetside Classics in Mesa. Maybe they could help you clarify some of your concerns.

here's what I say, and I just did it...is the part stack worth more than you are pay'n...to me it's a 10k or less car delivered... it's a model A frame with a cheep 32 body... take the body off and you got a 5k chassis... and a 3k body setting next to it...

az doesn't do VIN checks so easy to get a az title...but you have to change your screen name to 32LOWBOY...

but... you could also buy a 32 frame ,and have all the parts to put a glass hi boy together...but again where's the over under at???

you could also pick up a model body and put on it and have a nice steel car.. model A's seem to hold there on right now...

You will putting a lot of money and effort into that car.
The hairpins will break right off the rear with that power. Been there done that.
Keep looking. Get to know how these cars are built.
What looks good does not always mean it's right. To many errors in this one.

Do a better online search for this place. This was just a one minute peek...

    https://streetside-classics.pissedconsumer.com/review.html

This link seems to say that they have locations in several States. Do I know, or believe all of the accusations are true? No. I don't know which locations mentioned in the link are the same company. Keep looking at that page and click on places that say more replies. There are many.
