First off HELLO TO ALL and I'm glad to have found this place !!! A fellow member ( Duncan ) of a Thames forum I belong to steered me here . This seems like a great place and I like a lot of what I read so far !!! I have tried a few other US forums and get tired of the plastic billet $ 100,000 trailer queens whose owners never turned a bolt . I'm a poor disabled self employed dude doing the best I can on a limited budget . I barter for most of what I need . I have been into building hotrods out of Brit Fords/Anglias/Thames for a few years . I've really come to love them . They tend to look like mini versions of 50s , 60s , 70s US cars . I also am building a Model T and I'm just finishing a Gremlin for my wife . I used to have mostly muscle cars until I started on my first Anglia , a 59 100e . Then I was hooked . I build with what ever I can get . Not that I'm against shiny parts , I use some . But what ever happened to fabricating and welding ??? I'm now jumping into strange waters for me , I'm trying to figure out the ecu and harness from a supercoupe t bird . I'm putting the supercharged V6 into my 57 Thames Squire . I have a permanent headache now . Any way that's a bit about me . Glad to be here !!!! Bane
Ah, I know what you mean. A couple favs of mine are the Morris Minor and definitely the 52 Volvo Sport. Welcome!
Thanks !!! I like morris and old austin cars and those cool funny looking volvo wagons !!!! One of the extras of rodding little cars is the gas millage Here is a few pics of my 105e and 100e I think they are cool and the 100e really zips . The 105e has a built pre-crossflow 4 cil and the 100e has a dohc fiat motor -n- trans . ignore the 5 colors paint job as it came to me that way
Thanks Omar , Vince , where in Denver are you ??? I used to live in capitol hill area in the early 80s ( my rockabilly days ) Used to dread the Denver pd as they swung first and asked ??? after . But I used to love the Forney museum and the Bandimere speedway .
