I'm James. I own and run a performance Harley-Davidson repair and service shop in eastern Oklahoma. I also run a Factory Pro chassis dyno utilizing a 4 exhaust gas analyzer. I've always loved the cars and motorcycles. I grew up around them and have a real passion for American V Twin motorcycles and American automobiles. I recently acquired a what I think is a 32 Ford pickup and plan to make it into a useable vehicle for my shop. I'm glad to be a part of the forum and I'm sure I'll learn a lot here! Hello to all of you and this looks like a place full of great cars/trucks and useful information and pictures. I'm excited to tap into what this board had to offer! See you guys and gals around the boards!
Hello again, I posted a thread about a project I want to do and its already been deleted. I suspect because it may have been posted in the wrong section? Can someone please tell me where to post something like that? I have tried to reach a moderator but haven't had any luck finding one. I hope they will still have the post and simply move it to its correct location. It was a little bit lengthy and had all the information I wanted to ask about. Can somebody please help? I'm off to a real bad start here already.
It's because we don't do rat rods, EFI, late model engines, etc. Nothing wrong with any of that, just not on the HAMB. You read all that when you signed up.... Right? Good luck, you sound like a good guy who found the wrong forum for your needs. Check this: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44274
Wow, I guess I have a lot to learn. I know the term rat rod gets thrown around a lot and its wear a guy out. I here terms like bobber, chopper etc thrown around in the shop a lot. I have poked around on here and many of the rides I have seen might be labeled as a rat rod. I guess I should stop using that term on this forum. I mean no disrespect to any of the people of this forum, I'm perhaps just a little ignorant on what separates one from another. Please excuse me. I hope to learn a lot here I'm not dead set on an EFI mill. Please read my thread on my project and let me know if I am in the wrong forum and if you feel that I am, please direct me to a more appropriate forum. Thanks for your reply!
Jalopy = Good Rat Rod = Bad There is a difference. If you don't understand then no explanation will make sense.
Welcome from NC Oklahoma. Just look around through the Forums you will find there are some projects with modern drive trains. Sounds like you will have a Kool bike hauler when you are done.
