Hellzapopin Pass time video

It only took me a year and half, but I finallly got our p*** from the TV show taped. Next season we'll try some on board stuff on our own because if it's not on video I'm not sure it really happened

 

That's a great looking car, one of my favorites at the Hot Rod Reunion always.

I saw that the other day!! MAN that is a great car!

 

I recorded it by pointing a Flip at the TV when it was on, so yeah the video is funky. Wish it was better but I'm pretty proud of myself for getting it on youtube after all this time. The mic on the flip isn't the best. It did sound way better in person though.

 

It was originally on in June of '08 I think. Been repeated a bunch since then, but not recently. I had to get out of the throttle to set the front tires down so I could steer it somewhere back close to the groove. It does that sometimes.

 

I'd have guessed 9.60 but none of that matters.... It's a very cool drag car. 550 hp on alcohol, very light still does not equal 8's.

Awesome car though, looks like it spun the wheels quite a bit.

What does it run when it really hooks? (hook enough to yank the wheels like in some of those pics)?

Rich, I didn't do the interview because I knew they would film me climbing back in the car. It cannot be done gracefully. Plus it takes me a while to get strapped in and get my head together. I thought Randy did a fine job though.

Thanks. Best it's run is 9.49. Optimimized it should runs 8's, but that's not going to happen. The car is limited by a knowingly mismatched combo, but it does exactly what we want it to do. As far as wheelstands go, it wants to wheelie. I don't have the talent to drive it without bars, but I think it would just flip over.

 

That wasn't me, it was Randy my bud and crew chief, and he's confident without being ****y. I was already strapped in. The contestant gets the money. We didn't hang around afterwards or I would have hunted him down and at least got some cold beer.

if the show visits your town, and you want to participate.....take a hot rod and get in line, they are flooded with Mustangs and camaros and they were pulling all of the unique stuff in Vegas.

That silver full fendered 32 out of so cal got in the show too.
