Help 34 ford hood sides or not

    I've always liked the hood sides on full fendered coupes.

    If that 32 in your avtar is yours you better put the hood sides on Fender=sides Hahaha Darrell

    I have a 34 5 window and would like to know how you hold the upper hood panels down:)

  9. I'm fabbing up a latch set-up for my hood tops. I'm using a spring-loaded steel rod in the original hinge for the hood sides. The rod will go into a small bracket mounted on the grill shell. I'm not overly concerned about latching the back - she aint goin' no where...

    I'll post pics when it's done.

    I vote "No Sides" (and preferably no hood). There's something gutteral, inexpected and "hot rod" about an exposed motor. And leaving off the sides in an "unexpected manner" (33-34 does look swoopier with the sides on) just ads to the mechanical feel of a hot rod.
