*** Help 48' front clip on a 46' Body?**

I've got a 1946 ford i'm lookin into buying but i need to know will a 49' ford clip fit on it?, I really don't like the front end of the 46's but i have a 49' front end at a buddies house, does any one got an idea if it'll work? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I really don't think so. I remember somebody trying this several years ago and nothing lined up...so he sold BOTH trucks and bought something else.

The '40-'47 cab is a totally different animal from the '48-'50 F series cab. There's really nothing but a '42-'47 front clip that will fit your '46 without a lot of major sheet metal surgery.

 

Won't a 40-41 clip work? Those are much better looking, and the cabs are the same, or at least similar. Probably a lot harder to find, but they look nice.
