im putting a new rear axle in my 53 chevy 2 dr sedan. pervious owner did some real bad hack work. does anyone know the distand between the pins from leaf to leaf? im getting 45 inches is this correct. i just wanna make sure i space the new brackets on the new rear end correctly. thanks guys!!
when I did mine I did it in the car. the only measuring I did was to center the rear and get the pinion angle at 3 degrees up.
