Customs Help! 57 chevy question

    Guys need some help
    What is this hole....it looks factory what covers it...is it a water outlet...looks like water will go straight inside

    A better picture is needed, although I just took some pictures of mine and have a hole (no wise cracks) that has a factory plug in it and is about where I think you show your's a second one is also factory inboard and forward of the first and about above heater opening. Look in the Danchuk book under grommets for that plug. I have an assembly manual I would have to dig it up. If you are building or just own a 57 I would recommend buying both manuals, service and assymbly.

    The OP is pointing to a rust hole in the corner. His radio antenna hole is welded shut.

    Thanks for the advice guys....it doesn't look like a rust hole...I did weld the antenna hole shut ....I might just weld it in

    It looks like there has been some firewall/cowl/air box work done; my guess is it's just part of the work that was done, and not sealed up. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

    Agreed, I'd put seam sealer in it.
     
  13. I'm assuming that's short for "acken-puckie"? :confused: You could also glue a piece over the hole using a blob of "poly pecker". :rolleyes:

    Mine does not have that hole either. That'll drain directly into passenger toe board area
