what water pumps and fan do i need to put a 8ba flathead in a 32 frame and a 32 body and still run the stock hood top.

the engine is a 8ba, with a 39 gear box, and stock 32 crossmember.

    thanks for any help.

Truck pumps. They come wide belt so you'll have to plan for that. I use a '49 generator and '49 Merc fan. They both have wide belts or you can have narrow pulleys installed on the pumps.

Second opinion: Yes you need the Truck Water Pumps...

The fan has it's own pulley and mounts to the generator mount.

Two ways that are easy: Stock '32 mount brackets (rare$, reproduced, can be made), bolt on after the most minor grinding, OR truck pumps plus simple tabs off frame rails like Hurst A-28 mounts so they have a seat. "32 original mount pads in crossmember are in totally wrong place for route #2.

Here is mine. Truck pumps with a 49 car fan or a 49-53 truck fan with the wide belt. I got a little more room by drilling out the stock fan blade rivets and bolting a flat after market flex fan to the fan hub.

You can use later Mercury 8CM water pumps that are much like the truck pumps but with narrow pulley's that will allow you to use the narrow belt setup. The Merc pumps will set the engine lower so you'll need to space the biscuit frame mounts up 1 1/2" with some spacers. I can supply pics of this set-up if you need them. I used to be able to get the Merc pumps from NAPA.
