ok its official, im not going to be able to make it to the march meet to hand the tires over to Brandy, so if anyone is heading that way and is willing to meet me somewhere let me know. or if someone is heading north within the next week. if i dont get any takers on this thread i'll have to start a new one trying to setup a relay

I could use some sheet metal to fix the rusted out floor, anyone got some scrap they can bring?

If the tires don't make it , I have a plan B .

If someone has a camera and wants to take some Pics we could use a photographer.

i would like to state for the record, "yorgatron is the man" went out of his way on the trip back from pheonix to pick up the tires from me at one in the morning, offered him a place to crash but said he wanted to keep on trucking all the way to san jose. now thats hardcore.

this is a real good thing you guys are doing, i wish i could help more.

thanks for the relay George ( Yorgaton ) you have done more than your share allready , just a few more days and still not sure who all is coming , but we have enough to get the job done.

I will post the confirmed names here , as I get them , looks like the weather might even be good. The word is getting around , and the Kragen down the street even donated a few cases of soda to keep us cafinated .

So its on, we will Hamb thrash this Saturday from 10am till we have had enough , then to my place for a Hot Rod Party with, Food , music, bench racing and funny old hotrod movies.

Have you considered raffeling something off to help him? I don't know how well you know him, but if you or freinds have anything you wouldn't mind donating to his cause, you might do alright. Try to keep the law out though, I don't know what the laws are in your area about that stuff and the man usually wants his cut.

 

I am getting most of the help from the Hamb , so I did a couple of Hamb auctions , which will help to repay this Forum for what I have gotten from it .

We don't need much money at this time , just free skilled labor , and good ideas , we'll see how far that gets us.

I know Im working two days this weekend, this shindig is on saturday right? Maybe they gave me friday and sunday. Ill be there if I can, I wouldnt say that Im any good, but I can hold things in place and help out maybe learn a thing or two and get to meet some cool people.

there is only so much we can do while the car is in the air to get the trans in , but when its back on the ground , there will be room for more than one thing going on at a time , also the new blood will help us keep going , so late arrivals are ok .

SOMEBODY better take pics! I'm usually good for a camera, but I'll be in Fresno tomorrow picking up the elusive Pontiac head..........stupid car.

 

not that they will ever see this , but I want to say thanks to the local Big O Tires , they will be mounting and balancing for free , I know they are a chain and all , and its probably just a hush hush thing cuz we use them at the shop , but hey thats 60 bucks we didn't have to spend , so if you need tires , check em out , cuz at least someone cool works there.

two things makin me feel real guilty:

1) backing out of the hamb thrash last minute
2) forgetting until reminded tonight that my daughters b-day party is tomorrow (even though the real day isnt until Wed.)
