I seem to have a rear end with mixed parts. The housing is 37 or later as it has the larger bearing races And the later style pinion nose bearing. Here is the problem, the differential seems to be the earlier 32 to 36 style with the small bearings, there is no preload on the bearings as they are to small.
    1. Can I use the later style bearings and get the proper preload?
    2. Do I need to get a new carrier?
    3. Does anyone have the proper late style carrier they are will
    To part with? Thanks

I had a similar isue with mine. I couldn't seem to find the right combination. I finaly found a guy that wrenched on these when he worked in a Ford dealership and he still had the Ford Bible. I ended up sending him my parts and pieces and he got it right useing some that he had. If you need help PM me and I will get you his contact info and maybe he can help. He is not cheep but it is right.
