HELP, Can someone ID this distributor? Parts guru's?

    I found this in my attic, I wonder if it would work for my Chrysler. I know the previous owner had an old Plymouth back in '56..

    loks like a six cylinder chrsler style dist. the vacuum advance is missing though.

    Yes - It is missing the vacuum advance, unfortunately. Good call on the 6 except it has 8 spark plug holes. Anyone else? You West Coasters up yet?

    I don't know what it is, but why doesn't it have drive gear?

    Mopar V8's had a drive gear seperate from the distributor. A gear with the oil pump driveshaft fit in the block between the oil pump and the distibutor.

    wich means it´ll fit all 318 poly or wedge from 57-92,all 340´s,all 360´sand the late style polys from 55-57 that later became the 318poly,oh. also fits 273.whith a modification to the shaft it´ll fit the older polys and hemis aswell,as the hole in the block is the same size,all you need depending on engine,is a spacer or a shaft adapter.that´s about it,sorry for the long post [​IMG]
