I recently purchased a Carter P4070 fuel pump for a great price at a yard sale. It is new, but came without instructions. I was wondering if this pump sould be mounted closest to the tank as possible? Also how to go abouts wiring this thing in...and a**** all the hardware, there is (1) piece that I haven't got a clue what it does...It's like a little spring clip, but there is just one of these.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  2. The spring clip holds the wire terminals onto the pump so they won't fall off.

Mount it as low as possible and near the tank, it dosent pull fuel, it pushes it.

My second issue now, is can this pump be used with a dual tank set up?
The pump is actually for my O/T tow rig (1987 Chevy K30 Dually with a 454 4bbl.)
