help corvair steering box

I have a 34 Chevy truck with a traditional straight axel, a corvair steering box I have turn the wheel 4 times for a 90 degree turn. Need help anyone.

 

Does it only turn 2 times or less the other way to get a full turn? IF SO...

The box is not centered so the pitman pushes and pulls equally to either side.
Remove the pitman arm. Turn box all the way to the right then count the turns to get all the way to the left. Turn back to the right half the amount of turns. Reinstall the pitman arm and drag link and try again.
