In the risk of getting flamed or post not acceptable, I am in a bind to get the gas tank mounted in the tank of my deceased Wife's, 20001 Monte Carlo. I have removed this pump previously. No problem. Except I wasn't 77 years old. Thank you Moderators if you may let this post.
Hopefully the moderators will move this to the OFF TOPIC page but it sounds like you need the help of a couple of young guys with strong arms and a good floor jack or the use of a transmission jack that you can balance it on and move it into place with.
Last time I installed a tank I used blocks under my floor jack to get it up high enough to lift the tank into place. I used a piece of plywood bolted to the jack lifting pad and some bungie cords to hold the tank on the plywood. Jacked it up and installed it.
The pump removes through trunk floor. I understand not Hamb Friendly. Good bye. It puzzles me how some guys use their long long time reputation as a seller of a certain vehicle type specific to misrepresent for many years,
huh? this thread has been moved to the off topic forum. anything goes here. ask away. what help are you looking for exactly???
A bit confusing, getting the tank mounted in the tank? Do you mean the fuel Pump mounted in the tank and are having issues?
"It puzzles me how some guys use their long long time reputation as a seller of a certain vehicle type specific to misrepresent for many years." Where did this comment even come from and who is it directed at? Did someone at "2001 Monte Carlo Parts, Lawn Care and Zit Squeezing" sell you a bad pump or give you bad advice?
@mickeyc, I don't think you understand. Your post is off topic so it just got moved to another section of the HAMB. Guys are replying to it and you just need to give more detail of what exactly you need so they can determine if they can help.
