F100 has a dip in the middle, F1 is flat...but shouldn't Ford truck spindles have the steering arm wrap up around from the rear? Are you sure thats Ford???
No I'm not sure it's ford, nor which one and That's why I'm asking. I have only seen those pictures and trying to decide if I want to drive 2 hrs to look at it.
I've got some F-1 spindles and brakes that I can look at this afternoon and compare. However, by then there will have been 15 answers that will give you a definitive answer. H.A.M.B. rules, doesn't it?
The axle has no dip...so if its a 50's ford its an F1. I don't think it is Ford at all. Heres a pic of the same side Ford F1 spindle/axle. Note the backing plate and also the steering arm. Also the shock bolt hole location and the curve of the axle out beside the kingpin boss. Everything looks totally different.
