Help find my vacuum leak?

I have a vacuum leak, if I touch the brakes the motor stalls. I have checked the carb and manifold gaskets and they looked good. All the hoses are in good shape and tight. Where do I start now?

 

Hose to the brake booster? Bad brake booster diaphram? Bad rubber grommet brake booster line to booster? Lippy

 

Squirt bottle aimed at suspected area.

 

how about the booster. removed and plug va*** line. hit brakes. no stall, get a hand held va*** pump and pull va*** on booster. see if it holds.

 

Yeah, if it's ok until you hit the brakes, your problem is inside the booster.

 

I sprayed starter fluid and nothing poped up, also pulled brake booster hose and still stalled.

 

looking at your ID, I'm guessing it's on a 61 Cad. I don't know if the '61 has a park brake vac*** diaphram (to release the brake when you select a gear), but my '60 does, and I had a leak there once (It was mounted under the dash on the park brake ***embly.
But your symptoms sure sound like a bad booster.

 

try to block off the line that goes to the booster with a pair of needle nose pliers and be careful not to tear the hose in the process have a helper step on the brakes and see if the problem goes away. if it does you have a faulty booster. if not I would check the park brake vacuum line like 36 roadster suggested. I belive that you will find your leak in those areas. good luck and keep us updated!!!
