Help with the location? I've a full small bottle of acetelyne, Oxygen is about dry.

    I'm about 1.5 hours due-South of Sacramento.

Be happy to loan you a plasma cutter as well.

Povertyflats seems to be the local connection who may know how to come up with a bottle the quickest.

Thanks man if I were home this would be easy. Alex Gambino his aprentice Mitchel, Scott Mugford, Vodoo Karry Gene and myself got this car chopped and are putting it together almost done when at the end of the day ran both bottles out so if any one know af a welding supply open on Sunday or can get us bottles it would really help.
    Thanks Dave Hitch

wow. Suppose he should just use a TIG then right? Cuz a park just has a 220 oulet laying around. **** man. What he is doing is the best soft weld next to a tig. He is about to be welding the roof. Using a mig would be suicide on an open panel like that.

Gotta remember the guys are doing this chop out at a park, its not like they are in a shop with all the amenities. Hoping paul, povertyflats reads this thread in the morning and has a suggestion where the guys can go or perhaps has a pal in town thats can hewlp supply the bottles.

Try posting up on Craigslist. More localized venue.

    One word. Tradition.
This is Gene Winfield master craftsman. Not Joe Bloggs from Ace Chop shop.

, hey someone suggested tractor supply there, have you tried them yet?, does someone know someone who will open up on sunday? this sounds like a dumb idea, but it may work, call the local radio station, explain what you are doing, who is there and you are doing this for a vet, people will often come out of the woodwork for a member of our armed services. try to get them to put the word out.
