Help id a rear end

    It's a Lincoln (Zephyr). Notice the backing plate: It's a Bendix style as opposed to the Ford's Lockheed. The center section is unique to Lincoln in that it's a Hypoid (or nearly so) and does not interchange with Ford (re ring & pinion). You can put a Ford center section between those trumpets however. The available gear ratios for the Lincoln are on the order of 4.44 and 4.30.
