I picked up an intake from a friend who has his own personal junkyard. He said last time he counted there were over 500 cars across 20 acres.... Anyway, I got this intake from him and thought it would look neat to hang in the shop. I asked him what it came off of and he has no clue, other than it’s been in the junk yard for at least 50 years. I can’t seem to find any information on it. It says Edmunds customs on it and is 2x2 carbs. I found one identical to it on eBay that lists it as a flathead Cadillac. But the crossover for the thermostat on the front makes me think otherwise. Any information would be helpful.

303 324 Oldsmobile, If you clean the bottom, they are usually stamped with what it fits. I have a 2x4 edmunds that is stamped 53 Olds on the bottom

I can confirm that it IS NOT from a flathead Cadillac.

Since it is an Olds, aren't there a couple of versions, large port and small port)? I think that may be the small port version for the earlier 303's. I'm no expert, but when I bought intake gaskets for my '51, I seem to remember that there were 2 or 3 choices, depending on port size.

Tubman, there was an early version that I believe had an open web design with smaller ports like this: this: [IMG]

I’ll bet if Mr Hughes cleaned it up first he may not have needed to ask. But then again to a certain group of enthusiasts all the s**t on it that some think is the “P” word would want it that way..

Used to bead blast all the used stuff I found. Now, I only clean it if I'm going to use it immediately.
