The rockers are aftermarket; there were no "roller rocker heads".

Mid 70's smog heads. Google that casting number for lot's-o-info.

So if these are stock heads how much work had to be done to install these roller rockers would this mean the engine might have a ROLLER cam in it instead of a old style flat tappet cam-- Thanks

They just bolt on. The heads still have the press in studs, so I wouldn't think that whoever built it went too exotic on the cam, but you never know!

    Like others have said ,
Pretty much Stock set up (springs) with bolt on rockers
& looks to have aftermarket push rods
    ( drop in )
No guide plates , If you have a good eye
or bore scope ,pull a push rod look down in side down towards lifter & see if you see a crossbar for roller lifters

Stock mid 70s low compression, pressed in studs , all said before.
If it was my truck , Id change the rubber fuel line , especially where pinched by the lower alt mount

Large chambers but decent flowing heads.

The rockers are just bolt on not full roller as was said.

If you need higher compression ratio for your cam then you can switch to 64 Cc heads but otherwise they are decent

These are really not great heads with open chambers, and not large runners. Roller rockers just bolt on, but these heads have press in studs still, so definitely wont take much cam lift. They're also known to develop cracks, so keep an eye on the breathers for signs of water getting into the oil if they do crack.

They are the better, heavier smogger casting, I think that changed around the same time Chevrolet Orange went away.
