    pictures?

anyways...wild guess is that it's a 10 bolt from a 78-86 midsize GM car. Pictures would sure help the cause.

How many turns of the pinion yoke does it take to get both rear wheels to turn one revolution? (or one to turn two, while the other stays still)

The good news is you won't need an overdrive!

Yes I know it’s a 7.5 and a 2.41 rp. I couldn’t figure out what it came out of and what year. Of course C271 2 code should be Chevrolet built 271st day on the 2nd shift. Can’t believe a 2.41 rp! How the cars even move! Lol. Thanks for the help.

Both of my '85 GP's had 2.30's, and I think there is a 2.14 out there also.

The donor car had an automatic transmission. Torque multiplication gets the job done.
