Rear end is in a 58 Hillman. Looks to have casting #520732 or 520782 on the pumpkin. 5 on 5 bolt pattern. 0 stamped on a pad that's at about the 7 to 8 O'Clock position. 3:08 ratio. 46" backing plate to backing plate. 10 spline axles. U-bolt yoke. Guessing 56 and down Olds/Pontiac. Need to figure out for bearings, seals, or interchange parts. Appreciate any help. Eric's Hillman.jpg

    +1 on the Old/Pontiac ID.

The axle baerings should be the same diameter as big bearing ford 9 in. I've used them on my olds rear in my truck.

On looks I would say 56 Pontiac. That yolk for Pontiac is a 56 only deal, i'm not sure on the Olds differances. The earlier style used the mechanics u joint, and from what i've gathered on these boards Pontiac is 10 spline only , Olds 16 spline.
