Does anybody recognize this used in an automotive application?

  3. Looks exactly like the one on my workbench. It's a Saginaw manual box for a '76 and up Jeep CJ. I believe Camaros were the same, but maybe a different ratio.

GM 525, used on lots of different vehicles. It'll have the same bolt mounting pattern as a Vega box.

Thanks for the replies everybody. Are these commonly used for custom builds, g***ers, race cars etc?

  9. Looks just like the '64 Chevelle box in my '38 Ford pickup. The splines for the Pitman arm are the same as old Ford, so I'm using the stock '38 Pitman arm on the Saginaw box.
