help id this tach pull a part find

    i was in at the pull a part in knoxville sat helping my dad get some parts for his 70 dodge pickup when i found this looming on the dash it has am on it as the only markings its a plastic body with a metal ring dont know if its worth anything but i thought it was cool any idea on make and year ??

    The AM stands for American Motors/AMC. Unsure of year and model though.

    That's the American Motors logo, could be from a S/C Rambler or something like that. Or maybe a Jeep.

  4. I was going to guess "Autometer", but I guess I would have been wrong.

    Those old factory tachs are probably worth big dough to someone looking for one.

    yea i thought autometer too but it looked more like a factory style tach it makes since now that the am stands for american motors i just thought it was cool first time ive ever been to a pull a part yard now im hooked ill be going back might even vist the one in charolette at the good guys deal if we have time just like hunting for gold to me who would have thought it be on the dash of a 71 dodge 3/4 ton truck
     
  6. Looks like one for a console mount. AMX maybe? Can't be too common. AMC didn't make a lot of performance cars, maybe you can google up interior pictures of the Javelin, AMX, S/C Rambler and so on and track it down that way.
