I got an adapter with the 331 when I bought it. On one side it says "MOHAWK" with a part number 1736183. It fits the motor, what i need to know is what transmission it goes to. Any information would be appreciated.
    Sorry, no pics.
    TIA

    OEM 1957 trans 'adapter'.
Although it fits the engine it would have come from something in 57-58, so if you want to run a 57-58 Powerflite/Torqueflite this will be very helpful.

This plate was also used by many of the old-time manual bellhousing manufacturers so they did not have to mess with making a starter pocket.

Yes, if you find an old Trans-Dapt adapter to run any kind of standard gearbox behind your '54-'58 hemi, you will also need this factory piece to bolt it to.
