Help identify 50s GM seat

    Thanks for the help. I bought this front seat for my 55 chevy two door sedan. The PO said he didn't know what it came out of. I've had several Trifives and know it not from a trifive chevy. But the seat track are the same except for the adjuster knob. And the width is right to bolt in my 55. Don't have much to go on in the pictures but thought someone might recognize the side trim or layout. Maybe Pontiac, Buick, Olds. Thanks Ron

    looks like a 54 chevy to me...

    The right back rest looks like a 55 or 56 part.The left one does not.Never had any dealings with a 54 seat but Ive been told they look like 55s but are narrower.

    its a 56 olds 88 front seat.....got the same ones in my 56.....john

    Thanks guys I appreciate the info. It's getting so hard to find a decent seat to fit theses cars. I'm going to have it upholstered in a old school black Naugahyde. But was thinking about buying new foam padding for a trifive seat. I think it's close enough to fit. Ron
