I picked up an old trailer from a friend, I am going to convert it to a dump trailer with a different axle . I was wonder if anyone can Identify the the wheels and axle in the pictures? maybe they could be of some use to someone.

The wheels appear to be '41 - '48 Ford. The axle is a mystery ??????

The axle, and especially the spindles with their bolt on steering arms look to be Chevy, maybe mid to late ‘30’s.
The grease cap has a hex shape to it, like for a threaded cap and it kind of looks like something might be stamped on it.
Or is it just rust and corrosion? DDA22D85-8284-4431-9070-E15E990749AF.jpeg

The rails were rotated 90* toward the inside to construct the trailer, and because what was formerly the top flange is flat I’d hazard a guess the frame was 1932 or earlier.
Maybe a Chevy guru will pop in and help.

appears to be a 1928 Chevy axle, Hubs have an adapter plate welded to the Chevy hubs to fit the 5x5 1/2 wheels. thanks for all the help
