I have these three Cadillac hubcaps. I don't know the year, or model they came from, do you? I thought '55, then was told '58...I looked on the net for pictures, but have not seen any years from 48-60 that show THESE wheelcovers. HELP! They are all almost NOS, two have the same center cap, one doesn't (slightly different), they were found on a basement shelf in Detroit. Almost NO WEAR. Don't know much about them except they are fine, fine, fine...looking to sell 'em, too. [IMG]

I got a few of them, they are 56. If anybody wants to use them they fit them old white spoke wheels that everybody had to have back in the 70's. Looked real nice on a friends 1960 Ford PU.

Ah yes, there was a set on the calssifieds last week that some poor sob gave like $400 for and somebody here thought they'd try to sell. They invariably go for around $10 ea even in Great shape. Just TRY to find a set of the '56 Caddy 15" deep dish wheels that they'll fit on though!!!! Now you've got a set for YOUR shelf!!!!

Thanks for all the help guys!

Now at least I have an idea of what they came from, and a rim that could get them to work. I had been keeping them for the Merc, in fact, I had them several years BEFORE I even got the Merc (and I've had the merc over 5 years now!)..until I realized that I had no clue where I could find a rim to make them work. Now, instad of those smoothies I have, maybe I'll find me a set of wagons, if the backspacing fits. Decsions, Decisions...at any rate, thanks guys. Now if I decide to part with them, I know what they're from. Hell, some caddilac restorer might pay top dollar, right? [IMG]

I always thought it would make a killer serving tray for veggies and dip.......all polished up and shiny with ranch dressing on top. [IMG]

That's a great idea! I could cut the center out, and replace it with one of those little dish things restaraunts use for dips...then I could sell them on E-gay for $100 each, to the Von Dutch goldchainers! Excellent idea.
Hell, if they only fetch $10 a piece, I could start buying up all the used '56 caddy caps I could find and start my own Hubcap-chip-dip-serving-tray cottage industry! I would be rich! I'd never have to leave the shop again! Needa name though. Something catchy. I know! the "Hub-a-Dip Chip-Dip and Salsa Serving CADDY!" [IMG]
