DiscKit1_zps8ad0f262.jpg I have seen this disc brake kit at a few swap meets and I even assembled it for a customers vehicle but it had no manufactures marking on it. It uses stock early Ford bearings so it is a direct bolt on and looks like it has more offset than most current kits. I need to know who made it and where I can purchase it. Thanks in advance for your knowledge. Jim Ford (55willys)

I checked Pete and Jakes web site and they don't seem to offer that kit. Some of the identifying features are the bolts thread into the caliper instead of the bracket, there are holes on the ears of the bracket that are threaded and hold spring clips that are not shown in the pic that I found. Also the bracket is cast with an edge that surrounds the spindle. These are different than the metric GM kit that most people use. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance Jim.

  6. i would still check with Pete & Jakes on it. i believe it is a very old Superbell kit from the 70s or 80s. i'm looking at a 1980 Pete & Jakes catalog and i see the exact same brake kit and they call it a Mustang disc brake kit. i think they used rotors and calipers from about a 1969 ford mustang and not Mustang II. i used one of those kits on a `40 ford many years ago. i don't believe it's being made anymore

you probably already know that Pete & Jakes now owns Superbell

call them and talk to Jason , he will know

I can't speak to the rotor, but that is a Mustang caliper, circa 1969, as has been mentioned.

The rotor may very well be from the same.

Super Bell made a kit in the 1970's, in one of the Rod & Custom quarterly's of that era they show the whole install with Mustang calipers. It used a Mustang rotor that can be separated from the hub. Don't remember if it came with hubs or used early Ford ones. It's been out of production at least 30 years.

Thanks guys for the info. I sent them an email and they said that it had been changed in the 80' to their "super stopper kit" Jim
