Here are some pics of steering box that on my buddies '46 Chevy PU. I am trying to figure out what it came out of... I searched hi and lo here but came up empty. "SAGINAW GEAR" is stamped on the box and there is a 3 bolt cover with an adjustment screw along with a 4 bolt end cover. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Bump for the east coast lunch crowd...

I did some more searching and it looks like it may be from 57-59 Chevy or GMC truck?

    Any other thoughts?

Nope ! Stock 30s-40s Chevy. Cars with beam axles had the same setup.

It is an early Chevy truck, but why the weld circumference around the sector adjustment? Reversed?
The thing that made me remember is the superb frame rail clamp. Hot rod part De Luxe!
