the best thing you can do is go to car shows or if you go to an auto paint store they have books with lots of colors. TCP Global has a series of colors in there Restoration Shop catalog that are premixed and ready to go. Order the catalog, find something you like order a quart shoot it and if you like it order more
Hi, I'm restoring a 54 Ford F100 and love the Parrot Green you painted the Woody you used to own. I've been going in circle trying to get the right color. I have a Ford code M-14226 and a PPG code 40455...but I'm missing what seems to be an elusive "Manufacturers code". everyone keeps asking for this. One company sprayed out and clear coated a piece of sheet metal in a Diamont paint with info he got, but the color is way off, much darker and very olive. I'm looking for some <nobr>guidance</nobr> and would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks, Cheryl
You are correct. Parrot Poly was too dark. I mixed 1 to 1 ration of the Parrot Poly with 1971 International Frost Green Poly color 44410. The international color is great but looked too gold so I remixed with the Parrot Poly and it came out like you see.
In this wonerfull world we ive in ten people could be answering at the same time and they just come up by the luck of the order received.
