the best thing you can do is go to car shows or if you go to an auto paint store they have books with lots of colors. TCP Global has a series of colors in there Restoration Shop catalog that are premixed and ready to go. Order the catalog, find something you like order a quart shoot it and if you like it order more

    Hi,
I'm restoring a 54 Ford F100 and love the Parrot Green you painted the Woody you used to own. I've been going in circle trying to get the right color. I have a Ford code M-14226 and a PPG code 40455...but I'm missing what seems to be an elusive "Manufacturers code". everyone keeps asking for this. One company sprayed out and clear coated a piece of sheet metal in a Diamont paint with info he got, but the color is way off, much darker and very olive. I'm looking for some <nobr>guidance</nobr> and would greatly appreciate your help.

    Thanks,
    Cheryl

You are correct. Parrot Poly was too dark. I mixed 1 to 1 ration of the Parrot Poly with 1971 International Frost Green Poly color 44410. The international color is great but looked too gold so I remixed with the Parrot Poly and it came out like you see.

  5. All the snide comments aside, I like the car AND the color.
