Help Identifying a Tool

Discussion in 'The Antiquated' started by 57chevywagonman, Apr 16, 2025.

  1. I need some help identifying a tool. It is engraved "SARGENT IND. SWEENEY DIV." "SWE 689 ST 1249".

The tool came from the estate of a dear friend who passed at the age of 90. His son had no idea what it was and it just looked too important to leave behind.

A Google search found nothing of help. Hope one of you knows what it is.

I always click on these kinda posts thinking one of these days I'm gonna know what it is. No chance.

It's got an Acme or square thread, so is meant to exert a large amount of force, if that helps.
