Can anyone identify this steering wheel. Its wood with a pressed design and aluminum hub. I bought it about forty years ago at a swap meet just because it was cool ( you understand) and am now using on my roadster. I get a lot of comments on it and and would like to know what it came off originally. I am thinking early Chrysler. Thanks for any info.
It's not wood. It is a resin cast. It really looks like wood. Used on many cars approx 1924 - 28. Studebaker, Hudson, I was even told Chrysler used them when the ran short. It was used in many other independent auto makers. I have had a few of them and that is info picked up from the old guys walking around the Hershey Pa swap meet.
It's out of Johnny ( here on the HAMB) Sweet's stash donated to me for my Vintage Hydroplane. I have posted these pic's before with no definitive answer, you will get as many 'what it is" as there are experts! Still Dunno! For size reference it's a 17" wheel.......................
No way.. The HAMB is stumped as to what that is? This is the first time I've seen something like this go without being identified.
brigrat ..your wheel is exactly the same as mine. A friend machined the center cap for me. I will go with oldolds' identification. THE H.A.M.B. does it again. I am trying to send a picture of the center cap.
Still trying to send photo of my machined non stock center cap. Boat wheel sounds interesting also. thanks to all for the info.

That looks like it , but what is the make of the car? I can't quite read the name off of the radiator emblem.
