    Hey There,
My friends dad passed away this last week, and his family has been looking through old pictures. He sent me these pictures asking if I knew what the cars were. The second one looks to be a '46/'47 Ford 2 door sedan, but I'm not as familiar with this era of cars, so I thought I'd ask all of you about the other one.
    Thanks!

  8. '47 Ford. There were three distinct '47 Fords; some leftover '46s sold as '47s, the 'real' 47 that looks nearly the same as the '48 but had some carry-over parts like the '42-46 bumper uprights as shown and used slightly different side trim and hood/trunk emblems, and the late '47s that were pretty much just early '48s.

There were some interior differences also, mostly gauge color, with sub differences between models (standard, deluxe, super deluxe).

@Crazy Steve all I know is the front lights. Rectangle = '46 Round = '47-'48. Yes, Henry liked to use up parts from previous models.

The Pontiac is a Chieftain Special, which was their super stripped down model, like a Chevy 150.
