This summer I bought a pretty good sized collection of trim and parts from the grandson of a guy who died, and I was able to identify everything I got from them except these, and it's driving me bonkers. I generally pride myself on knowing what stuff is and I try to help ID other people's stuff (when Squirrel doesn't beat me to it) but these have me beat. The long thin strips are pretty generic, other than there's 16 of each, and they match up to the arrowheads very nicely, half match the upper part of the arrow and half match the lower. The arrowheads scream early 60's Ford to me, but they must have mounted on the front fender down low, with no trim attached to them, because they have finished ends, angled for a door opening, and clearly they fit over a fairly sharp body crease, not flat. I know they look a lot like early 60's Mercury Comet but they're not. Anyone?
The '67-up Ford trucks do have something that looks sorta similar to that, but it's not the same. The arrowheads on those trims don't have any blank space, they're one solid piece, and the tips slide into a longer piece on the front fenders, where as these arrowheads are stand-alone trims. Thanks for the suggestion though.
