Help in Wheeling WV area

I am interested in a 39 ford in that area. The guy doesn't have pictures so I could use help with another HAMBER looking and if possible taking pictures. I know its a bad time for everyone, but don't want it to get away and its 9-10 hours from me.

 

I'm not really close enough to Wheeling (I'm in the Cincinnati area) so hopefully someone else can help out. I am redoing a 39 Standard Coupe, so if it's that body style, I can tell ya what to look for anyway. Even if it's the Deluxe model I can share what I know. Is the car original or has someone modified it?

Its a 39 4dr conv.,with 40 sheet metal and dash. I just can't drive that far just to look. Need someone like you that knows about old fords to be my eyes. If it is good condition I will go.

 

i'm 80 or so miles from wheeling, but i've got to kick this fucking bubonic throat cold and do the christmas thing before i can go and look at anything. would sometime next week be too late?

 

Crestliner, I don't know if this is the same car or not but a guy I work with goes home every July for a few weeks to visit his mom & in-laws in Bellaire OH, which is right across the river from Wheeling WV. Well anyway, I remember him mentioning a car that fits the description of the one you describe,and my friend is into early Fords and didn't seem overly imperssed with this car even though it needs some restoration which is what he likes to do.

If this is the same car, it was for sale in July so obviously nobody is busting this guys door down trying to buy it.
And, if the guy has no pictures offer to send him a throw away camera that he can take pictures of the car and send it back to you for processing. If the guy isn't cool with that, BEWARE!

Is the car in/near Bellaire OH ? I won't see my friend/co-worker till after new years but will ask him more about it if you want. If it's the same car.
